Charlotte Hornets 2019 NBA Mock Draft Vol. 3: Full Two-Round Projections
North Carolina guard Coby White has consistently been placed to one team in may mock drafts that I have seen over the past month or so — the Chicago Bulls.
Chicago would be a perfect landing spot for White. They, like Phoenix, are desperately looking for the point guard of the future, and White would fit right in with this entertaining Bulls squad. I would worry about him and Zach LaVine in the backcourt defensively, but they could tear teams up offensively.
White’s another guard with great size at 6’5″, and he uses that extra height to his advantage. He’s a little out of control at times and tends to make bad decision, but that’s something that he will be able to clean up along the way. He’s a tremendous shooter and driver, and those are two attributes you need in the NBA.
As a freshman at North Carolina, White impressed many with his play. He averaged 16.1 points, 4.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds. He shot 35 percent from distance and 80 percent from the foul line. He’d be another really fun addition to the Bulls young core.
Plenty of Hornets fans would love to see White fall to 12th overall, but I don’t think that is going to happen.
