What is the biggest position to focus on right now?

Vincent: If the Hornets are able to re-sign Kemba Walker, the biggest need for the team is an upgrade in their front court. James Borrego made it known that he would like to see the front court’s defense improved, and the Hornets have a lot of talent that they can choose from to help in this department. I see them taking a center in the first round of the draft.

Caleb: The biggest position to focus on right now is either the center or wing position. The Hornets have struggled at finding a consistent starting big man that can withstand all 82 games. The wing position should be addressed because of the lack of scoring from the rest of the team that surrounds Kemba Walker. Marvin Williams doesn’t exactly scare anyone on defense.

Filippo: I think that, because of the free agent that may leave our team, the position we have in most danger are the 1-2 spot. Assuming how this draft is structured and the lack of 1-2 around the #12 spot I’ll probably say that we will be focusing on the 4 spot, we need a reliable PF.

Elijah: Probably center or power forward right now. Our leading rebounder was Cody last year, with him snagging just below 7 a game. The main concern here, though, is finding someone who can rebound, but also someone who can play a more up-tempo offense.

Zack: If I were a General Manager making an NBA draft pick, I would go with the best player available every time. If the Hornets are looking at positional needs, though, then looking at a center would be ideal. Charlotte could use another big body than can protect the rim and finish through contact. Luckily for them, they would have quite a few nice options if they do decide to go this route.

De: As of right now, I would think the four spot or two guard would be the biggest areas of concern, assuming we re-sign Kemba. Marvin Williams is getting up there in age and we need more production from the position and Jeremy Lamb, our second leading scorer, is a free agent. Not saying Williams is hurting us, but he’s not helping us at the level that we need right now. And either extending or replacing Lamb and his production is obviously high on the list as well.
