Are you expecting an early trade up or down?

Brendan: “While rumors swirled about Kupchak looking to trade up in this draft I do not see Charlotte having enough assets to make a big jump from 12 into the top 8. If anything I can see the Hornets trade down to acquire more assets and still get their guy if they feel he will still be on the board just a few picks later.”

Zachary: “I think that the Hornets have seriously looked at both moving up or moving down in the draft, but I am expecting them to stay put at 12th overall. This is a pretty deep draft class, so they will be able to get someone they like in the lottery and keep their options open in the second round. It wouldn’t surprise me if the pick is moved, but right now, I think they will end up keeping it.”

Elijah: “Mitch Kupchak has stated he’d like to try and trade up, but I wonder if we have any worthwhile assets in which to do so. I also see no need to trade down unless it can help rid the team of one or more of those awful contracts we currently have.”

De: “I think we may trade down if we were to make any move. Not enough assets to package and make a decent jump, so I think we’d be better off by either staying put or moving back.”

Giovanni “Currently, I am not expecting anything but I could be wrong. Mitch Kupchak stated that he could be looking to move up in the draft, but it seems like it will be that easy. If the Hornets are able to move up in the draft, I’ll be very happy.”
