No. 3 – He fits like a glove

Washington was the top option on the Charlotte Hornets’ board for his talent, but his fit with the team also had to have come into play. He’s really a perfect fit and will slide into a role with the club right away.

He probably won’t be a starter day one, but he should easily be in the rotation as a rookie. Starting power forward Marvin Williams is now on an expiring deal, so Washington will likely be his successor and take over the starting spot after next season.

He’s in a good place for minutes, that’s for sure. He also provides a lot of what the Hornets need. Washington stretches the floor and doesn’t dominate the ball. If he can consistently hit shots from the perimeter and continuously be active on the glass, he may be tough to have off the floor at times.

I think Washington is a great complimentary player. He’s a modern-day big man that fits right into the direction the NBA is going. I also think he can play with Miles Bridges, the Hornets prized 12th overall pick from last season. I believe that they can both thrive off of each other.

Charlotte has a really good looking collection of young talent, and I think Washington will be a welcomed addition to the team. He fits into their play style and I see him being used frequently as a rookie.
