Charlotte Hornets: Kemba Walker’s best teammate from each season of his career
2014-15 best teammate: Al Jefferson
Now, I would say that Al Jefferson was Kemba Walker’s best teammate during his NBA career thus far. Jefferson spent three years with the Hornets, and led them to the playoffs during the 2013-14 season.
During the 2014-15 season, Big Al was still solid, putting up averages of 16.6 points and 8.4 rebounds. However, he dealt with groin and calf injuries and only played in 65 games. Coming off that promising season, the Hornets really struggled, finishing with just 33 wins on the season. They even had a 10 game losing streak from November into December.
After this season, Jefferson quickly started to decline. He only played three more seasons afterwards and is now playing in the famous BIG 3 league. 2014-15 wasn’t his best season, but he was able to fight through injuries and provide the Hornets with a big body in the paint.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to see that the Hornets made the playoffs two out of the three years that Jefferson was in town. He played a huge role for this team, and it was a joy watching him play. Makes you wish he could have played for Charlotte just a bit earlier in his career.
