Charlotte Hornets: Kemba Walker’s best teammate from each season of his career
2011-12 best teammate: Gerald Henderson
We all know about this historically bad season. The Charlotte Bobcats finished the 2011-12 season with just SEVEN wins, which is the least amount of wins in NBA history. Kemba Walker was just a rookie at this time. He’s and the franchise have come a long way.
Walker’s rookie season was not exactly great, as he had averaged 12.1 points and 4.4 assists while shooting 37 percent from the floor. Gerald Henderson was probably the best player on the team at the time, averaging 15.1 points and 4.1 rebounds.
I’ve always liked Henderson and his game, but any time he is the top player on your team, you know it’s going to be a long season. They struggled in every aspect of the game, and even finished 30th in the league in both offensive and defensive rating.
Again, Kemba Walker has played with some very good players, especially later into his career. However, the team hasn’t done a great job putting great talent next to him, or just overall talent spread throughout the entire roster.
If Walker leaves in Free Agency, the reaction afterwards will be thankful for his contributions, but many will also be wondering “what if”.
