Shooting Guard

Brendan Boylan: “If Kemba stays in Charlotte it would be hard to imagine Jeremy Lamb re-signing as well from the finance side of basketball. With that said steady improvement was seen from former 2nd round pick Dwayne Bacon last season, and you still don’t know what you have in former Kentucky standout Malik Monk. While some potential is on the roster at the 2 guard spot another scorer would help the Hornets next season. Rodney Hood, the southpaw shooting guard from Duke who averaged 11 PPG last season, would be a nice fit to wing rotation.”

Zachary Padmore: “I would love to see the Hornets re-sign Jeremy Lamb, who emerged as the teams second best player this past season. If they can’t do that, it would be cool to see them sign Seth Curry. He’s proven himself to be a knockdown shooter and good locker room presence. Also, it would be cool to see him play for his hometown team, and having his father watch him play every game from the commentary booth.”

Elijah Edwards: “There’s not a lot out there at this position in free agency, but one name that would be intriguing is J.J. Reddick, who was certainly a thorn in the side of the Hornets last season. Charlotte was just 18th in the league in three-point field goal percentage last year and with the game being so reliant on shots from deep, a sniper like Reddick would be a godsend for the Hornets.”

Giovanni Spillman: “Honestly, Charlotte must re-sign Jeremy Lamb. He has played a significant role for Charlotte during the past four seasons, and he has improved every season. This is a player who has become a reliable scorer, and it would hurt the team if they lose him in free agency.”

Caleb Baugher: “Terry Rozier, with the nickname “Scary Terry” has shown flashes of offensive and defensive explosion when he is on. The Hornets should re-sign Jeremy Lamb after the season that he had, but just imagine Rozier and Lamb on the court together with Kemba Walker, if they can re-sign him.”

De White: “I’d like a spot up shooter, and someone that could either mentor Bacon or challenge him for the starting position. Ideally, I’d want Lamb back, but if not then my next choice would be Zach LaVine via trade. Dude is a beast and would really help the team after this tough off-season.”
