Small Forward

Brendan Boylan: “With Miles Bridges earning the starting role in the 2nd half of last season and Nic Batum openly saying he did not know what his role would be on this team moving forward the 3 could be a position of interest for Charlotte this summer. Do you move Bacon back to the 3 or do you find a contributor in free agency? Former top 10 pick, Mario Hezonja made some noise last season for the Knicks. While he still has not found his role in the NBA he could be a cheaper option with some upside for the Hornets moving into next season.”

Zachary Padmore: “We all know that the Hornets are going to have a tough time landing top talent in free agency, so a veteran like Jared Dudley would be good for the locker room. Dudley has embraced his role as a mentor and leader over the years, and he can give you minutes at either forward position, while knocking down three-pointers. He’s a solid player, but an even better veteran, and teams, especially young ones, always want to have that locker room presence.”

Elijah Edwards: “While players like Kawhi Leonard or Kevin Durant would be awesome to have, I don’t think Charlotte will be their next destination. One player they could land, however, is Milwaukee Buck, Khris Middleton. If he decides to leave the Bucks, his all-around game would fit in very well in the Hornets’ offense and he’s not terrible on the defensive end, either. A trio of Middleton, Jeremy Lamb, and Kemba Walker would instantly propel the Hornets into playoff contention.”

Giovanni Spillman: “I am huge when it comes to the front court, and I think the Hornets could use Marcus Morris. Morris has been a consistent scorer for the Boston Celtics, and he fits the same role that Marvin Williams does. He can score in the paint, while also providing help from the beyond the arc. The Hornets could use more perimeter shooting in their front court.”

Caleb Baugher: “Sam Dekker is a guy that could be signed to a low key deal. Dekker, at 25 hasn’t been given that much playing time in his career but has the capability of earning it in Charlotte. If the Hornets decide to keep Frank Kaminsky, Dekker would make a lot of sense considering their time together at Wisconsin. Dekker and Kaminsky coming off the bench together could be very efficient in certain situations.”

De White: “My wish would be for Tobias Harris if anyone. And ironically, we drafted and traded him. Dude improved drastically and is a star.”
