Dwayne Bacon: Ball Handling, Playmaking

I personally believe that Dwayne Bacon is primed for a huge third season for the Charlotte Hornets in 2019-20. I think he will be one of the go-to guys on the team, so with that being said, he’s going to have to work on his guard skills so he can play multiple positions on the court.

Right now, I see Bacon as more of a small forward, but he is certainly capable of playing the shooting guard spot, and maybe even other positions at times. He has size, length and skill. He’s capable of creating his own shot, so improving as a ball handler will only help him take more steps on the offensive end.

Bacon can be a little ball dominant at times, so it would be nice to see him work on his playmaking. He’ll be one of the main guys on the Summer League roster, and as a third year player, he should dominate. We should get a good look at his playmaking skills during the event, considering he’ll have the ball in his hands a ton.

Charlotte Hornets fans should be really excited to watch Bacon this upcoming season. He’s a promising prospect and if he grows in these areas, he’s got a chance to be a really good basketball player.
