No. 6 – Detroit Pistons

After getting swept by the Bucks in the first round of the playoffs, the Pistons made some really good moves as they look to rise in the Eastern Conference. Getting Blake Griffin fully healthy is priority number one, but adding Derrick Rose and Tony Snell could go a long way.

Add in the fact that the Pistons may have gotten a steal in Sekou Doumbouya in the draft at 15th overall, and you’re looking at a pretty successful off-season. They already have one of the best front courts in the league and are well-coached with Dwane Casey on the sidelines.

Luke Kennard could be looking at a breakout season going into his third year. He’s a really crafty offensive player with great footwork and shooting ability. If he can take another jump, he’ll be yet another weapon. I really like what this team did this summer, while developing their young talent at the same time.

A lot has to go right for them to reach their full potential, but I think the Pistons are a clear playoff team and will be a tougher out in the playoffs compared to last years showing. I’m eager to see this team on the court and get a look at them during the 2019-20 season.
