2019-20 Eastern Conference Standings Predictions: Where do the Charlotte Hornets sit?

No. 4 – Boston Celtics

Shield your eyes, Charlotte Hornets fans. Kemba Walker in green. Man, it doesn’t look right. The addition of Walker keeps the Celtics in contention, adding to a core of Jayson Tatum, Gordon Hayward and Jaylen Brown. The opportunity to join a team with a winning culture was huge for Walker’s decision to leave Charlotte.

The biggest meltdown for Boston last season was turmoil in the locker room. Chemistry issues crippled the 2018-19 team so badly and they didn’t live up to their potential. Prior to the season, I thought they were the favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference and go to the NBA Finals.

Walker is a great teammate and is already developing chemistry with some of the guys on Team USA. I think he’ll fit in nicely and keep the Celtics in contention. I do have significant worries about Boston’s defense, but other then that, I like what they did this summer.

During his time in Charlotte, Walker gave it his all. He only made the playoffs twice in his career, but that number should go up in Boston. I know Hornets fans will be rooting hard for him. He earned and deserves the chance to win at the highest level.
