No. 12 – New York Knicks

Going into this summer, most New York Knicks fans were hoping a major splash. They were losers in the draft lottery and missed out on the Zion Williamson sweepstakes, and also missed out on signings free agents such as Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Many fans view this off-season as a major bust.

Yeah, they didn’t get any superstars, but New York did do a good job by signing Julius Randle, as well as players like Bobby Portis and Taj Gibson. They have a lot of depth in the front court, so it will be interesting to see how they divide the minutes up during the season. Overall, they have some real talented players.

They’ve also done a good job drafting over the past few years, ending up with a young core of RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson and Kevin Knox. All three players have major upside and could very well become stars in this league one day. Add in Damyean Dotson and Dennis Smith Jr and you’ve got some excitement. Fans should be excited for the future. Just give them a little bit more time of development.

Some think that this team could make a run for the eighth seed this season, but I believe they need another year or two before making the playoffs. It’s been a slow process, but things are finally looking up for the Knicks, who have been through some brutal times over the years.
