No. 8 – Miami Heat

The Miami Heat have had a successful off-season after landing Jimmy Butler in free agency. Butler could be the piece that this team needs in order to get back into the playoffs. He’s a perfect fit for the Heat’s culture and will be return to his old role as the top option.

Goran Dragic will be a major key for this teams success. He was often injured last season and the team really needed him on the court. He’s an underrated point guard that still has a lot to offer. In his absence, though, the Heat used Justise Winslow at point guard quite often, and he may be their secret weapon.

Winslow, in my opinion, might be the most underrated player in the league. He’s a great defender and does a lot of things on the court. If he continues to develop as a shooter, then he’s got a chance to be sensational. Bam Adebayo is now a starter as well, and could be looking at a breakout season. Things are looking up in Miami.

I believe Butler will do whatever it takes to get Miami into the playoffs. They’e got a talented roster and a Hall of Fame coach in Erik Spoelstra, so it’s hard to bet against them at the moment. I wanted to move them up higher, but decided to keep them at the eighth spot.
