Where does the new Charlotte Hornets point guard Terry Rozier stand among all 30 starting point guards?

The Charlotte Hornets will head into next season without their star point guard that has been with the team for the past eight years. The team is projected to be at the bottom of the league’s standings with no hope of making the playoffs.

More from Swarm and Sting

With the inevitable coming, the Hornets will start next season with a new face at point guard. During the offseason, the Charlotte Hornets signed the Terry Rozier to a 3-year $58 million contract.

Rozier has spent the last four seasons with the Boston Celtics, and he has been to playoffs every year since he was drafted. The 5th year pro looks to continue this streak, and prove his doubters wrong.

Rozier did not get a lot of playing time in Boston because he had to play behind great guards like Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas. Rozier even had a stint during the 2017-18 playoffs, where he averaged 16.5 points, 5.6 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game.

Terry Rozier has the first chance in his career to lead his own team, and be a consistent starter. There is not a true contender for the starting point guard, as the team expects Devonte’ Graham and Kobi Simmons to play behind Rozier.

For Rozier, this year will be a milestone for his career, and fans should be excited about the opportunity he is getting with the Charlotte Hornets. Among all NBA starting point guards, Rozier has a lot of competition heading his way this season.

With that being said, we ranked every NBA team’s starting point guard. We’ll start at 30 and work our way down the rankings.
