Charlotte Hornets: Where Terry Rozier ranks among all starting point guards
27. Dennis Smith Jr., New York Knicks
Dennis Smith Jr. is heading into his third season after being traded to the New York Knicks before the All-Star break last season. He managed to average 14.7 points and 5.4 assists per game for the Knicks.
Smith will have a lot of new faces on his team next season, and it may take some time to develop some chemistry with them. How Smith plays, will depend on how the Knicks’ season will go this year.
26. Dejounte Murray, San Antonio Spurs
Dejounte Murray had a huge year last season, and he dramatically improved from last season. The Spurs have some talented players to play in their backcourt and Murray could win the starting job.
He has a lot to work on, but he should do well for the Spurs next season. The Spurs are a defensive team, and Murray has the ability to make plays while on defense. He averaged 1.2 steals per game last season.
25. Patrick Beverley, Los Angeles Clippers
This was a hard spot to put Patrick Beverley, but it seems like a good spot to rank him. Beverley is coming off a playoff season with the Clippers, and he looks poised to make a lot of noise as a starter.
Beverley started in 49 games last season for the Clippers, and Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are now joining him. With Beverley’s excellent defensive abilities, he could assist the Clippers in being one of the best defensive teams in the league.
