Charlotte Hornets: Where Terry Rozier ranks among all starting point guards
12. De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings
Since being drafted in 2014, Fox has shown many flashes of greatness, and he had the best season of his career last season. Despite not making the playoffs last season, Fox still managed to average 17.3 points and 7.3 assists per game.
The Kings have a better roster than they did last season, and I expect Fox to take the next step and lead his team to the playoffs. Fox could be poised to average a double-double next season if he continues to feed his open teammates.
11. Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets
Murray proved how good he could be last season during the playoffs. Murray averaged career numbers last season, and his play helped lead the Denver Nuggets to a 54 win season.
As Murray continues to improve, I expect him to get even better next season. He has established himself as the Nugget’s franchise guard, and he has proven to be a great teammate to Nikola Jokic. Look for Murray to build off last season and have another career year.
10. Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks
With his excellent play as a rookie, Trae Young deserves to be ranked this high. Last season he managed to 19.1 points and 8.1 assists per game. Young was also able to have a 49 point game as a rookie!
Young is an exciting player to watch, and he proved to the league that he was elite from beyond the arc. I expect Young to show many improvements next season, as his points per game should dramatically rise.
