9. Mike Conley, Utah Jazz

Mike Conley got traded to the Utah Jazz, and he will have some great young teammates. Conley is a defensive player, and his ability to play defense will benefit the Utah Jazz during this upcoming season.

Conley easily had the best season of his career last season, as he averaged 21.1 points and 6.4 assists per game. Look for his play to elevate this season as he plays with two All-Star caliber players.

8. Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors

Lowry did have the best scoring this season, but he did find ways to help his team win their first NBA title. Lowry is a great defensive player, and I expect his scoring numbers to be higher next season since the Raptors will be without Kawhi Leonard. Kyle Lowry is a seasoned veteran, and he could be poised for a huge year next season.

7. Chris Paul, Oklahoma City Thunder

In a surprise trade during the offseason, Chris Paul was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, in exchange for Russell Westbrook. It’s clear that the Thunder want to rebuild, but the addition of Paul might possibly make them a playoff team.

Paul is one of the best guards in the league, and he’s great at dishing out assists to his open teammates. A young team like the Thunder will prosper from an unselfish player like Paul. Since Paul will not be playing with Harden this season, I expect his scoring numbers to rise.
