No. 2 – Cole Anthony (Freshman, North Carolina)

Cole Anthony is a favorite among many Charlotte Hornets fans, being that he will suit up for the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2019-20. Cole, the son of former NBA player, Greg Anthony, has legit star potential and should be a top-three selection during the 2020 NBA Draft.

Anthony is a big-time athlete that can get to the basket in a hurry. He’s not the best three-point shooter yet, but he’s certainly capable of hitting from range. He can get to the rim and draw contact, he plays bigger than 6’3″, he has a tight handle and he has the character to be a star in the NBA.

He’s super talented, of course, but Anthony is also a great leader and plays with a lot of passion. I love seeing that from younger players. He wants to be great and that’s a very appealing trait for him. I think he has multiple All-Star appearances in his future.

I have Anthony as my second-best prospect in this draft class, but trust me, he is really close to being number one. Anthony is just a sure-thing, I don’t see him failing and I think he’s destined for NBA stardom. It would be really nice if that stardom is with the Charlotte Hornets, but who knows how this will all play out.

Regardless, Anthony is an elite prospect and will be one of the top picks in the 2020 NBA Draft.
