No. 10 – Isaiah Stewart (Freshman, Washington)

As you scroll through this list of prospects, you may notice one thing in particular — they are all freshman. One of the more physically imposing incoming freshman, though, is Washington’s Isaiah Stewart. He’s big, he’s strong, he’s lengthy and he has a bunch of upside.

Right now, Stewart is an easy lottery pick, in my opinion. He’s 6’9″ with a 7’4″ wingspan and does work on both ends of the court. He projects to be a modern-day five man in the NBA, and would be a really, really strong fit with the current Charlotte Hornets roster.

He and PJ Washington would make an intriguing combination in the front court, assuming Washington does take over that starting spot one day. Washington can hurt you from the perimeter, while Stewart will be throwing elbows around in the paint.

Stewart will need to work on his shooting, but that will come over the years. Maybe I’m biased, because Stewart hails from a place close to my hometown, but I think he has the potential to rise during the season and become a top-five pick in next years draft.

Isaiah Stewart would be an elite prospect for the Charlotte Hornets to get their hands on.
