No. 7 – Jaden McDaniels (Freshman, Washington)

Here we have Jaden McDaniels, the brother of Charlotte Hornets draft pick, Jalen McDaniels. Jalen is a very talented player, but I think Jaden has even more talent and upside. He’s got tremendous size, length and overall skill that you just don’t see a lot. He’ll be teaming up with Isaiah Stewart at Washington in 2019-20.

McDaniels can play either forward position and is a dynamic athlete. His talent should translate well to the NBA. He can also shoot, handle and run the floor very well. Jaden, like his brother, needs to make getting stronger a priority, but that’s something that can be improved upon over time.

This is one of the prospects that I am most excited to see during the college basketball season. He should be NBA bound after a season. It would be extremely fun seeing him on the wing next to Miles Bridges. They are both top-notch athletes and McDaniels should be a guy who gets scouted heavily and has his major upside pegged as one reason why he will be drafted high.

I see McDaniels as a special talent, and a guy who has All-Star potential. Scouts will be watching Washington quite a lot this upcoming season, considering they have two for-sure lottery picks on their roster. If one of them ended up on the Charlotte Hornets, it would be fun.
