Golden State Warriors

  • ’18-19 Record: 57-25
  • ’18-19 Season Series: 2-0 (Warriors)
  • ’19-20 Advantage: Warriors

Despite losing Kevin Durant in free agency and Klay Thompson to injury, the Warriors are still legit contenders in the Western Conference after adding an All-Star guard in D’Angelo Russell. He and Stephen Curry will make for a fun back court match-up.

After winning three championships in five years, however, the Warriors are in for their most challenging season in recent memory. It will be interesting to see how they keep up in the Western Conference until Thompson is back. Their bench isn’t great, but they do still have three All-Star talents.

The Hornets have really struggled against the Warriors over the past few seasons, winning just one game against them since 2014. I don’t see that changing any time soon, as the Warriors are still set up for success for many years now, while the Hornets are entering a rebuilding season.

Like I said before, anything can happen on any given night, but I would be surprised to see the Charlotte Hornets beat the Golden State Warriors during the 2019-20 season.
