Indiana Pacers

  • ’18-19 Record: 48-34
  • ’18-19 Season Series: 2-1 (Pacers)
  • ’19-20 Advantage: Pacers

One of the more underrated off-season additions was former Charlotte Hornets guard Jeremy Lamb signing with Indiana. Lamb will be a starter for the Pacers and move into a sixth man role once Victor Oladipo returns from his quad injury.

Lamb is coming off a career-best season with Charlotte, and his departure hurts, though not as much as Kemba Walker’s. It’s tough to lose your two top scorers from a year ago and get absolutely nothing in return.

The Pacers remain one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, and will be even better once Oladipo does come back. Malcolm Brogdon was a huge addition and I think he can play at an All-Star level in Indiana. They also have a developing front court of Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner.

Charlotte is rebuilding, while Indiana is trying to get in the championship hunt. The Pacers have the major advantage over the Hornets going into the 2019-20 season.
