New York Knicks

  • ’18-19 Record: 17-65
  • ’18-19 Season Series: 2-1 (Hornets)
  • ’19-20 Advantage: Knicks

The New York Knicks had the least amount of wins out of any team in the league last season, and even though they didn’t land the superstar talent they were hoping for during free agency, they did certainly improve and should see an increase in wins in 2019-20.

Julius Randle was their big addition, coming over after a career-best season in New Orleans. They also drafted R.J. Barrett third overall in the 2019 NBA Draft, and the hope is that he blossoms into a star fairly quickly. He’s got some work to do, but I love his upside.

I don’t see them sniffing the playoffs this season, but they have a lot of young talent and could get there in a couple more years. Despite the initial off-season response from fans regarding disappointment, the Knicks are pointing towards the right direction.

Again, this is a team that the Hornets stand a chance against, but the Knicks are overall a better team and should be favored heading into the regular season.
