Boston Celtics

  • ’18-19 Record: 49-33
  • ’18-19 Season Series: 2-2
  • ’19-20 Advantage: Celtics

It’s going to be strange watching Kemba Walker suit up for the Boston Celtics during the 2019-20 season. Like, really weird. He’s been a member of the Charlotte Hornets for eight years, but made the move to Boston early into free agency.

His Charlotte tenure wasn’t exactly filled with much team success, but Walker put himself in the record books forever with his individual production. Now, he’s on the enemy team, and it’s going to take some getting used to.

Aside from that, the Celtics are clearly a better team. Boston did a great job reloading after losing Kyrie Irving to the Nets. They picked up Walker, along with Enes Kanter. There’s also hope that Gordon Hayward can return to his All-Star form after an off-season of training instead of rehabbing.

It will be fun matching up against Boston and being able to see an old friend again, but aside from that, it’s a tough match-up for this young Hornets squad. Again, maybe they can steal a win during the season, but I’m not expecting it.
