Denver Nuggets

  • ’18-19 Record: 54-28
  • ’18-19 Season Series: 1-1
  • ’19-20 Advantage: Nuggets

Some of these are going to be debatable, and some are going to be complete no-brainers. This, ladies and gentleman, is a no-brainer.

The Nuggets came out of nowhere last season and won 54 games, earning the second seed in the brutal Western Conference. They made a deep playoff run, but eventually got eliminated by Portland in seven games in the Semi-Finals.

Over the off-season, the Nuggets got even better, adding players like Jerami Grant and a healthy Michael Porter Jr to the equation. They gave Jamal Murray a contract extension, and have an MVP candidate in Nikola Jokic. They are set to be a dominate force in the NBA for many years to come, and are a team that could win a championship this season.

The Charlotte Hornets have a long way to go if they hope to reach the level the Nuggets are currently at. Anything can happen, of course, but I just don’t see the Hornets giving even the slightest problem to the Nuggets during the 2019-20 season.
