After the Charlotte Hornets lost their star player during the offseason, the team is now advertising a new “big three’ for this season.
If you’ve watched TV lately, you might have noticed the new Charlotte Hornets commercial that is being advertised. This is the first year where the Hornets did not advertise former star player Kemba Walker.
So if the Hornets are without Walker, then who are they advertising to bring fans to their games next season? Easy. The Hornets are advertising their young trio of Miles Bridges, Dwayne Bacon, and Malik Monk.

In an attempt to hype fans up for this season, the Hornets are advertising these three players and marketing them as the three best players on the team. The new commercial gives fans a “big three” kind of feel when they watch it.
Of course, it may be a while until the trio becomes a big three threat, but each of the players has shown a lot of promise. Are they ready to finally take over the Charlotte Hornets?
Miles Bridges is entering the second season of his career, and he is coming off a year where he averaged 7.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. Bridges also had some of the best dunks out of the entire league last year.
Dwayne Bacon, a second-round pick out of Florida State in 2017, is looking to become a full-time starter for the Hornets. He started in 13 games last season for Charlotte, where he averaged 12.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game as a starter.
Malik Monk, however, has not started a single game. He is coming off a career year where he averaged 8.9 points per game. If the Hornets are using Monk to target fans to come to their games, could they be planning on giving Monk a new role?
The three of these players have bright futures in Charlotte, and it makes sense to advertise them since the team is without Kemba Walker. At the end of last season, charlotte got a lot of energy from their young players, and they helped to lead Charlotte to an 8-4 record in the team’s final twelve games.
Training camp should be fun this year, and fans should monitor the results from training camp, as well as player performances during the preseason. Charlotte’s younger players are very excited for this upcoming season.
