The Swarm and Sting staff previews the Charlotte Hornets’ upcoming 2019-20 season with a brand new Round Table article.

It’s almost here. After an off-season filled with drama, emotion and surprises around the NBA, the NBA is almost here. It was an off-season of change for the Charlotte Hornets, as they lost their franchise star in Kemba Walker. They enter the 2019-20 season as a rebuilding team looking towards the future.

Media Day is in the books and the Hornets are a few days into their intense training camp. They begin preseason on the sixth of this month, ironically against Walker and his new team, the Boston Celtics. They open the regular season at home against the Chicago Bulls on the 23rd.

Last season, the Charlotte Hornets finished with a 39-43 record, which put them in the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference. They finished just two games out of the playoffs, which put a ton of pressure on the franchise.

Missing out on the playoffs for a third straight season was a reality check. It was time to build something new, and the Hornets are now doing just that. Losing Walker hurts, of course, but the split up probably benefits both sides.

Today, the team here at Swarm and Sting will be previewing the Charlotte Hornets’ 2019-20 season. We’ve answered six questions regarding the team going into the season. Feel free to let us know your answers on our Twitter page @SwarmnSting.

Without further ado, let’s get this round table started!
