Charlotte Hornets 2020 NBA Draft Monthly Big Board: November Edition
#41-50
Utah’s Both Gach is still pretty raw, but his upside his quite massive. He’s a super long wing that can lock up on the perimeter and use his athleticism to his advantage. He simply needs experience at this stage, but if he decides to go pro this year, he could be a steal for a team down the line.
Alpha Diallo has gotten better year after year during his time at Providence. Now a senior, I’m expecting another big season from him. He has terrific size at 6’7″, he rebounds very well for his position and is slowly improving his outside shooting. I like his NBA upside.
A rising sophomore from Arkansas who is starting to get some more buzz is Isaiah Joe. The 6’5″ guard can play either the one or the two, and has one of the better shots in all of college basketball. That’s where he’ll make his money int he NBA.
Last season, I believe that Kira Lewis was an underrated freshman point guard. His stats weren’t jumping off the page, but he should make some very good improvements as a sophomore. He’s still really young (18), but he has the talent to enjoy a breakout season.
Charles Bassey was once a five-star recruit coming out of high school, but he has gone a bit under-the-radar thus far. He’s got talent, but he also has some injury concerns. He’s a big body that can finish through contact for right now, but he has a lot of talent to improve upon.
More international flavor added tot he mix now with Paul Eboua. He’s a good athlete with good size, allowing him to rebound and push it in transition. Like a lot of others, his jumper will need to become a lot more reliable.
Marquette is the home of one of the more entertaining players in all of college basketball, and that would be Markus Howard. Howard can get hot quick and really light it up. His offensive ability is an obvious plus, but he’ll have to show that he can defend and make plays for others at the next level.
Here we have another one of the more entertaining players in the country in Myles Powell. He suffered an ankle injury that will keep him out for a while, but we still have a good idea of what he can do. He’s a walking bucket that needs to show that he can improve in other areas of the game.
Vermont’s Anthony Lamb isn’t a household name, but he is a baller. He got some feedback from scouts during the 2019 pre-draft process, and that should help him during his senior season. He knows what they’re looking for, so it’s on him to deliver.
Biram Faye is an extremely raw prospect, but could be a good draft-and-stash for a team picking n the second round. He’s a good athlete and solid defender, but needs to improve his skill quite a lot. Physically, he looks good. Now, let’s see him against better competition with the ball in his hands.
