Miami Heat Trade Package

The Miami Heat have gotten off to an incredibly hot start this season, sitting with a 18-6 record in the Eastern Conference. They can make a legitimate playoff run this season, especially if they add some more depth to their bench.

Losing Dion Waiters wouldn’t hurt at all. In fact, they’d probably be happy to get rid of him, especially if it means landing a veteran like Marvin Williams. Miami already has a few outgoing draft picks in the future, but a 2022 second rounder could get a deal done.

If the Hornets ended up keeping Waiters, he would at least get the playing time he desires in Charlotte. Going from a playoff team to a lottery team will do that. Waiters, however, wouldn’t be a great fit in Charlotte’s locker room, so there’s pros and cons about this deal.

Waiters has yet to appear in a game this season for the Heat. He was suspended at the beginning of the season after an incident, and his days with the team have to be numbered.

Charlotte can probably do better on a Marvin Williams trade than this Miami concept, but it’s an option. It would be better than losing Williams for nothing once he hits free agency over the off-season.
