Charlotte Hornets: 5 players who will challenge Devonte’ Graham for Most Improved
Luka Dončić
Luka Dončić is coming off an incredible rookie season in which he took home Rookie of the Year honors, and he has somehow taken an enormous leap in his second season, becoming one of the best players in the entire league. At the rate he’s going, Dončić will end up being one of the greatest players to ever play in the NBA.
Not only is Dončić a serious candidate for the Most Improved Player Award, he’s also a serious candidate for the Most Valuable Player Award, especially with Dallas emerging as one of the better teams in the Western Conference.
He’s out nursing an ankle injury at the moment, but Dončić is currently averaging an incredible 29.3 points, 9.6 rebounds and 8.9 assists for the Mavericks, leading them to an 18-9 record to this point in the season.
Dončić has had eight triple-doubles this season, and is the kind of player that can go get one on any given night. He’s the engine that drives the Mavericks, and is truly one of the best players in the league. He’ll rack up plenty of awards during the tenure of his basketball career.
What Graham has going for him in comparison with Dončić is the fact that we already knew that Dončić is an elite talent. Still, it’s crazy to see a 20 year old kid playing at this level. He’s one of a kind.
