Terry Rozier

Here we have Devonte’ Graham’s back court running mate in Terry Rozier, who has taken advantage of his expanded role in Charlotte, averaging a career-high’s in multiple categories. He doesn’t get the love that Graham gets, but Rozier has been pretty darn good in his first season with the Charlotte Hornets.

Going into the season, I figured Rozier would be a strong candidate to win this award. I’m not surprised at all by what he is doing, but I am a bit surprised by the lack of attention he is getting. He’s really hit a groove over the last month or so and is playing some really good basketball for the Hornets.

On the season, Rozier is averaging 17.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists while shooting 39 percent from downtown. During his last season in Boston, Rozier averaged just 9.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

It’s been really fun seeing the duo of Terry Rozier and Devonte’ Graham play and succeed together. There will be some negatives regarding the duo, but for now, the Charlotte Hornets have to be absolutely thrilled with what they have seen from both players.

Can Terry Rozier make a run at the Most Improved Player of the Year Award? Maybe. Regardless, it says something about the player development in Charlotte, considering they have two players with strong cases.
