Mo Bamba

I’m starting with Mo Bamba because I feel like he’s the easiest prospect that the Hornets can trade for. Since Charlotte needs young talent, Bamba is the perfect candidate that can help the Hornets defensively.

The Hornets are currently the 26th ranked team in the league with points allowed in the paint. Bamba has crazy length and size, and that alone is enough to help the Hornets with their paint defense.

As Bamba continues to come off the bench for the Orlando Magic, I believe Steve Clifford may be interested in some players on the Hornets’ roster. The Hornets have the assets to trade, and I believe this trade would not cost Charlotte a fortune.

In thirty-five games off of the bench, Bamba has averaged 5.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. His ability to block shots is impressive, as Charlotte does not have a player averaging anything over .9 blocks per game.

Bamba has a lot of raw offensive talent that could be shaped nicely under Coach Borrego. The Hornets have needed rim protection, and Bamba is the perfect candidate to do this without giving up too much.

If Charlotte continues to lose games and establish that they are rebuilding, then I see them going after this young center.
