Myles Turner

Out of every prospect that Bleacher Report listed, I think Myles Turner is the hardest to acquire. The Indiana Pacers are currently a playoff-caliber team, and I don’t think they are looking to give away their starting center.

Don’t get me wrong, if Charlotte wants to solve their rim protection problems and get youth, then this is the trade to make. This is a dream trade, but I can still see the potential in making this one happen.

Bleacher Report questioned if the Pacers would ever realize that Turner and Domantas Sabonis do not fit together. It seems like a lot of Turner’s play has been overshadowed by Sabonis’ breakout season this year.

If the Pacers favor Sabonis over Turner, then Charlotte should take a shot with this trade. Even though Sabonis has been getting all of the headlines, Turner has still been doing work for the Pacers.

This season, Turner is averaging 12.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game. He’s not a dominant rebounder, but he’s proven that he can be a defensive anchor in the paint, not to mention he can also stroke it nicely from deep when needed.

I think this trade would benefit the Hornets in many ways, but Charlotte would need to give up quite a few assets to make it work. I would be surprised if they make something like this happen given their record.
