The 2020 NBA Draft will be an important event for the future of the Charlotte Hornets. Here’s our third big board for the month of January.

The new decade has not treated the Charlotte Hornets well so far, as they currently sit with a record of 15-29, good for 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. They are, however, riding a season long six-game losing streak.

They’re slipping, and the only positive thing that can come out of that is an increased odds at a top draft choice. Prior to the start of the season, we figured that this would be a rebuilding team focusing on development and building through the draft.

They started out surprising many around the league, but as of late, they are looking like the Charlotte Hornets that most of us expected. If this downward trend continues, they could be looking at a good draft pick come June.

Which brings us to today’s article — our Monthly Big Board! This will be the third installment, and this time around, we have some pretty drastic changes, at the top of the field, at least. Injuries, suspensions and more have all come to play during these rankings, effecting the stock of multiple players.

The Hornets have an attractive core to build around, headlined by Devonte’ Graham and PJ Washington. Those are two building blocks for this franchise. Adding another building block in June will only make this team funner.

It’s good to see hope from the fan base. After years of being stuck in mediocrity, the Charlotte Hornets finally have a direction. The future is certainly bright, despite the losing at the moment. The 2020 NBA Draft will be a big day for this franchise’s future.

Without further ado, let’s get things started and take a look at our third Big Board! Who’s your favorite draft prospect for the Charlotte Hornets at the moment?
