On Friday, the Charlotte Hornets are set to play a historical and rare game in France against the Milwaukee Bucks.
As of late, the Charlotte Hornets have not had the opportunity to play in other countries other than Canada. For the first time in the team’s history, Charlotte will play a historic game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday in Pairs.
As the Hornets currently sit with a 15-30 record, this game in France may be the only thing fans can be exited for. The Hornets will have a lot on their plate as they take on the best team in the league.

As the NBA has been attempting to globalize the league, this game between the Hornets and Bucks will be the first regular-season game in NBA history to be played in France. Even though this is not a home game for Charlotte, the Hornets are marked as the home team.
Just like last season, the Hornets have been a bad road team. It will be interesting to see if this plays a factor on Friday night. The Hornets are currently 8-16 on the road, and 7-14 at home.
As the team awaits the big game on this national stage, the Hornets have been enjoying themselves in Paris. One player who’s really excited is the French native Nicolas Batum.
Batum has not played well this season, and his numbers reflect it. In his 11th season, the veteran is averaging 3.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game; these are new career lows. However, fans may expect him to see more playing time in this game.
Before Tony Parker retired this offseason, fans were hoping to see him and Nic Batum get a chance to play together in their native country. All eyes will be on Batum when he comes off the bench.
Nevertheless, the Hornets will give it their best shot against the Bucks on Friday night. The last time the two teams met, the Hornets lost in blowout fashion on the road.
