While the Charlotte Hornets will be well represented during All-Star weekend, the team can now expect Devonte’ Graham to participate in more.
Despite having a bad season so far, the Charlotte Hornets will now have Devonte’ Graham participate in the Three-Point Contest during All-Star Weekend. The last player to be selected from the Hornets was Kemba Walker.
Last week, Hornets fans found out that three players would be representing the Hornets in the Rising Stars Game. For Hornets fans, this selection for Devonte’ Graham came as no surprise.

Graham is having the best season of his career, and he’s a prime candidate for the Most Improved Player Award. In 50 games, Graham has averaged 17.9 points, 7.6 assists, and has made 176 three-pointers.
Devonte’ Graham is currently the fourth-ranked player in the NBA in made threes this season. Since Graham has been struggling as of late, it has caused him to drop to this rank; he’s spent a majority of the season in second place behind James Harden.
With the rate that Graham is making threes, he could potentially break Kemba Walker’s franchise record for threes made in a season with 260. Graham has thirty-two more games to make as many threes as he can.
Since Graham will be participating in the Three-Point Contest, this could help to raise his confidence even more. Graham is a relentless shooter, and he has the ability to take over in the late stages of a game.
For Graham, this will be his first time experiencing All-Star weekend, and this should be beneficial toward his development. A player like Graham should come back from All-Star weekend playing at an even higher level.
This experience will be exciting for Devonte’ Graham, and it’s good to have Charlotte represented for the third year in a row. Graham should do well in this contest if he comes in shooting as he did at the beginning of the season.
