After coming out of the All-Star break fresh, the Charlotte Hornets were able to win their third straight game.

Dating back to before the All-Star break, the Charlotte Hornets only had 16 wins before going on a two-game winning streak. On Thursday night, the Hornets defeated the Chicago Bulls 103-93 on the road, winning their third straight game.

With this win over the Bulls, the Hornets have now won five out of their last six matchups against them. The Hornets are now 19-36, and they’re in the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference.

More from Swarm and Sting

In this game, the Hornets never trailed, but the Hornets did blow a 21+ point lead, but the game only came within two points in the second half. In the end, the Hornets were able to turn on the jets and finish strong.

This was an odd game as Devonte’ Graham, the team’s leading scorer, did not score a single point. Graham only finished with 7 assists, two rebounds, and two steals. A major reason why Graham could not score was because of the number of times that he was double-teamed.

Thankfully, Graham’s teammates were able to step up their game; the Hornets had two players score over twenty points. Malik Monk led both teams in scoring with 25 points off the bench.

In the starting lineup, Miles Bridges finished with 22 points and eight rebounds, while PJ Washington finished with 17 points and five rebounds.

Every starter except for Terry Rozier finished with two steals. Rozier finished the game with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and one steal. Cody Zeller also chimed in by not missing a shot; he finished with 16 points and eight rebounds.

The Hornets gave up 18 turnovers in this win, but the team was able to win the rebounding battle. Charlotte finished the game by outrebounding Chicago 44-38; the Hornets also finished with nine offensive rebounds.
