The 2020 NBA Draft is in three months, and it’s time to take a look at early projections. See who the Charlotte Hornets and other lottery teams will take.

As the Charlotte Hornets continue to have an unsuccessful season record-wise, the team is seeking to improve in this year’s draft. The Hornets have made some great picks in their past two, and Charlotte looks to continue their success.

On Wednesday, it was announced that the NBA had suspended the rest of the season until further notice. While we may not know when or if the season will return, we must still turn our eyes to the draft.

Come June; it will be Mitch Kupchaks’s third draft with the Hornets. In his past two drafts, he has selected Miles Bridges and PJ Washington in the lottery. Both of these picks occurred late in the lottery.

For the past three drafts, the Hornets have picked at the 11th and 12th spots. The team has not had a lot of success in getting a top-lottery pick, but things could go different this year if the Hornets are lucky.

There is a lot of talent that the Hornets could target in this year’s draft, and Charlotte should be able to fill some dire needs. While the team continues to commit to their young players, the Hornets could be looking for another instant starter like Washington.

Some stars to watch in this year’s lottery will be players such as Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman, Lamelo Ball, and Obi Toppin. These players have a lot of talent, and they all should be taken before the 10th pick.

With Mitch Kupchak’s past two drafts, his resume is pointing toward him having another good draft. Without further ado, let’s get this thing rolling and take a look at who will be taken in the lottery.
