Picks 4-6

SF/PF. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Dayton. Obi Toppin. 4. 86

Obi Toppin is one of my favorite players in this draft, and it seems that he’s the perfect candidate for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Since trading Andrew Wiggins, the Timberwolves have been without a productive forward.

Toppin has crazy athleticism, and his length makes him dangerous on both sides of the court. This prospect gives crazy amounts of effort and should make any team happy. If Toppin is not taken in the top-3, then Minnesota drafting him is a no-brainer.

Scouting Report. UNC. player. 27. Pick Analysis. PG. Cole Anthony. 5

For a while now, the New York Knicks have needed a point guard. The Knicks have not had any luck with getting a franchise one lately, and the only way they may get one is through the draft.

By the time that the Knicks draft, Cole Anthony will be the best player at this position left. Anthony had a lot of offensive potential, and he is a weapon when driving to pain to score. He lacks a consistent three-point jump shot, but I’m sure this can be improved.

Pick Analysis. Scouting Report. PF/C. USC. Onyeka Okongwu. 6. player. 64

The Detroit Pistons have begun to rebuild, and the team is lacking a center. The Pistons traded Andre Drummond, so I expect Detroit to go after an effective center.

Come June, Onyeka Okongwu may be a clear answer for the Pistons. This prospect is tough, and he can play both frontcourt positions. Being able to play both positions will be beneficial, as the Pistons are still deciding on what to do with Blake Griffin.

While he’s only 6’9 currently, Okongwu is expected to grow a couple more inches. There’s a lot of raw talent here, and the Pistons may be getting a steal if they decided to go with Okongwu.
