As many fans crave basketball, one sports channel will air an NBA 2K20 simulation of one of the Charlotte Hornets’ games.

Basketball has been gone for almost a month, but fans can still watch something relating to the Charlotte Hornets. For those who enjoy NBA 2K20, you will get the opportunity to watch a simulated version of the Hornets’ games.

On Friday at 5:30 pm, Fox Sports Southeast will be airing an NBA 2K20 simulation of the Hornets’ game against the Atlanta Hawks. This game was supposed to be played on Friday, but due to the NBA’s hiatus, it’s unclear if Charlotte will play this game.

More from Swarm and Sting

The 2K simulation of the Hornets at Hawks game will be interesting, as Charlotte has lost the first two previous matchups against them this season. The last matchup featured a breakout game from Caleb Martin and a hard double-overtime loss.

While the Hornets have struggled to defeat the Hawks as of late, it will be interesting to see if Charlotte can pull off a virtual victory. The Hornets do not have a lot of high ratings on 2K, so they will be at a disadvantage.

The Hornets’ top-3 best players in 2K20 are Devonte’ Graham (80 overall), Terry Rozier (79 overall), and Cody Zeller (79 overall). Facing them, the Hawks’ top-3 consists of Trae Young (90 overall), John Collins (86 overall), and Clint Capela (86 overall).

It’s unclear if both teams will be using fixed rotations, or if the teams will be used as-is. In real life, Capela has not played in a game since January 29th; in this game, he was still with the Houston Rockets.

Following this 2K simulation, Fox Sports Southeast will be also be airing an encore presentation of the Hornets’ November 2nd, 2019 matchup against the Golden State Warriors. The Hornets narrowly won that game 93-87 on the road.

This simulation is something new for fans and should be exciting, as many broadcast channels do not air special NBA 2K20 simulations. Could this be something Fox Sports Southeast consistently continues to do?
