Terry Rozier is a Team Player

Finally, Terry Rozier has proved that he’s a team player. Many did not agree with Rozier’s 3-year $56.7 million dollar contract, but his teammates have noticed what he can do.

In a February interview with the Charlotte Observer, Rozier offered praise to Devonte’ Graham:

"“You’ve got a guy who is not making that much, in Devonte (Graham), who has put himself on the radar. You can’t take any of that away from him or this team. I just try to adjust.”"

This statement made me appreciate Rozier even more, as it shows that he cares about Graham getting the success he deserves. Both players have trusted each other throughout the season, and that’s shown by the 390 combined made three-pointers between the two.

With all of the expectations coming into this season for Rozier, he’s gotten the support from his teammates. Bismack Biyombo told the Charlotte Observer that Rozier has “trusted the coaches and adapted to the system, which isn’t easy right away. And he has excelled.”

In the same article, Rozier even told the Charlotte Observer that he’s not satisfied, as he knows he can give even more to the Hornets. He also said that he’s “always going to strive for better.” Rozier has established himself as someone that his teammates can trust.

Since coming to Charlotte, Rozier has done everything that the coaching staff has asked of him, and he’s not created any sort of drama. Rozier should be entrusted with the veteran responsibility to help lead this team in the future.
