We’re in the home stretch now, as the semifinal round begins. After that, we crown our champion. Let’s go.

Note that there are no longer any Charlotte Bobcats players. Al Jefferson and Gerald Wallace gave it their all, but the purple and teal is just too strong.

1. Kemba Walker vs 4. Dell Curry (91.4% – 8.6%)

I assumed this would be much closer, especially since Kemba only just broke Curry’s All-Time Charlotte Hornets scoring record relatively recently. Little doubt was left, however, as the number 1 seed more than handled the 4th seed in this matchup. Honestly, this might just be my favorite matchup in this bracket.

More. Will Kemba Walker return and finish his career with the Charlotte Hornets?. light

2.  Larry Johnson vs 3. Alonzo Mourning (75.2% – 24.8%)

Ahhh yes, the matchup any kid who grew up watching the Hornets in the ’90s would love to see. Frankly, the two players wanted that at one time too, given how they viewed each other toward the end of their careers in Charlotte.

This tandem was the face of the Hornets during the early ’90s and might have been the best frontcourt duo in the NBA at the time. It’s a shame they couldn’t keep them together. Perhaps they could have given Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls a run for their money during their second three-peat.

It’s on to the Championship Round and the two biggest stars in Charlotte Hornets history grace us with their presence.
