Devonte’ Graham Drops 40, Leaves the Nets Stunned

Charlotte Hornets @ Brooklyn Nets | December 11, 2019

113. 170. 108. 147. Final

Devonte’ Graham didn’t stop after his performance against the Brooklyn Nets. Less than a month later, Graham followed it up with a 40 point game in Brooklyn. This was arguably an even better performance than the nine 3-pointer night.

Graham managed this on an efficient 21 shots, including seven makes from 3. It only gets more impressive if you include the context. The game was on the back-end of another back-to-back. The night before, Graham put up 29 points against the Washington Wizards.

By this point in the season, Graham was really beginning to look like an All-Star caliber player. The sophomore had found his shot and was consistently creating and scoring off the dribble against a playoff team. He had come into his own to fill the role Terry Rozier was supposed to.

Charlotte had found their star. Watch this game and be amazed by Graham’s maturity and decision-making. It is here he proves himself as Charlotte’s best player, and as one of the best in the Eastern Conference.

This list could be made up entirely with the countless examples of Graham’s talent, but for the sake of brevity, we will keep it to these two.
