The Charlotte Hornets have traditionally struggled against teams from the Western Conference. That trend does not change this season.

Los Angeles Lakers – March 21st

It’s LeBron James and the Lakers are gunning for the best record in the NBA. It pains me to say it, but LeBron will continue to dominate Charlotte and it probably wouldn’t be close. Stop me if you’ve heard that before.

Los Angeles Clippers – March 28th

A week later, our guys face the other team from Los Angeles. It goes about the same as it did in October, with the Hornets losing a blowout at home. This will mark the fifth time in six years the Hornets will be swept by the Clippers.

New Orleans Pelicans – April 7th

With the Hornets already losing the first matchup at home, they would travel to New Orleans where they would befall the same fate, losing to the former Hornets, and getting swept for the series. Oh well, there’s always next year, right?

Portland Trail Blazers – March 24th

Portland is still just barely hanging on to any playoff hopes and as such, are out for blood, trouncing Charlotte in the Spectrum Center, sweeping the series for the third straight year.

Oklahoma City Thunder – March 26th

The Thunder are in the thick of it out West, fighting for a top-four seed, but that campaign is dealt a heavy blow as the Hornets come into town and upset the surging Thunder, splitting the series for the second time in three seasons.

With all that taken care of, it’s time to see how what the final record was, shall we?
