With a crucial off-season approaching, the Charlotte Hornets should be paying close attention to the Orlando “bubble” with many interesting trades and free agency targets involved.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, NBA Basketball returned on the 31st of July in the unfamiliar “bubble” setting. Unfortunately, the Charlotte Hornets weren’t involved in the season restart, but that doesn’t mean the events of the Orlando bubble aren’t relevant to Charlotte Hornets basketball.

The Charlotte Hornets are going through a rebuild, and on multiple occasions, Mitch Kupchak has alluded to a less-than-opulent 2020 free agency period despite the team being projected to have more than 20 million dollars of cap space.

However, that is not to say that the Charlotte Hornets shouldn’t be seeking out shrewd acquisitions in the 2020 free agency period, particularly after a dismal 2019 free agency in which the team signed Terry Rozier to a long term contract and offered money to Willie Cauley Stein whilst missing on players like Tyus Jones and Richaun Holmes.

As the dust settled from the fallout of the Orlando bubble’s seeding games, a few names popped up as intriguing targets for the Hornets’ upcoming free agency pursuits. All of these players are under 25 years old, thereby fitting in with the “young core” the Charlotte Hornets currently possess.

Now, let’s get into the list.
