According to the results, Zion Williamson, Eric Paschall, Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke, and Kendrick Nunn made the All-Rookie 1st team. The entire second team consisted of Tyler Herro, Terence Davis II, Coby White, Washington, and Terence Davis II.
The Hornets got a lot of productive minutes from Washington this season when he played. Based on his rookie performance, many fans believe Washington to be the best rookie since the team drafted Kemba Walker.
During Washington’s rookie season, he averaged12.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Due to his size, Washington even managed to receive playing time at both frontcourt positions, which helped him to become a better rebounder throughout the season.
Even though Washington made the 2nd team, many took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the rankings. There was even a strong case as to why Washington should’ve been selected to the 1st team over Paschall.
No matter the results, the Hornets have themselves a stellar second-year player gearing up for the 2020-21 season. Just like this season, fans can expect to see Washington continue to be a full-time starter.
