The second trade features a few young stars finding new homes within the Eastern Conference.

Trade Analysis: So this trade may seem a little strange at first glance, but this option is beneficial for all parties.

The Charlotte Hornets get to unload Terry Rozier to Orlando for Victor Oladipo, which is a major positive for Charlotte, but they would also send their second-round pick to the Magic.

The Pacers would grab a very talented Aaron Gordon. The Pacers would get a wing with a major upside, who can shoot the three and attack the rim. Gordon has to be desperately looking for a new home, and a winning culture in Indiana can be beneficial to the two-time dunk-champion runner up.

The Magic have been largely unsuccessful in the backcourt combination of Vucevic and Gordon, and sending him to the Pacers would be a good switch for him. The Pacers would have a backlog of bigs with Turner, Gordon, and Sabonis, but I believe Indiana is looking to move on from the 2019 leader in blocks per game.

Bleacher Report’s Preston Ellis stated the following when talking about why the Pacers moving on from Turner would make sense:

"“Turner’s upside and manageable salary (three years, $54 million after this season) make him a logical candidate to be moved. The Pacers can attach an asset to him to bring back a wing who can complement Brogdon and Victor Oladipo and make this group a legitimate contender for the Eastern Conference in 2020-21.”"

Now even though Oladipo is looking to be traded, the addition of Gordon as a wing for the Pacers would still be beneficial to pair with 50-40-90 club member, Malcolm Brogdon.
