While the 2020-21 season does not have a starting point yet, the Charlotte Hornets have been continuing to put in work.

As of now, the NBA’s 2019-20 season is getting close to being finished. As the finals began to conclude in the next week, the Charlotte Hornets are among many teams putting in work for next season.

With the soon conclusion of the season, the Hornets have been able to watch the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat duke it out in the Finals bubble. Following the season, teams will prepare for the NBA Draft and Free Agency beginning soon.

During the finals, the Hornets have been participating in the NBA’s workout bubble, which was meant to help teams who have not been able to play for over six months. For the Hornets, the team has not got to play together since March 11th.

The Hornets were able to come together as a team again with the workout bubble and they were able to reconect. Hornets’ coach James Borrego stated “This bubble has given us something to look forward to, prepare and develop towards. This was a nice part of our schedule we could grow and build towards.”

Borrego continued to say that he couldn’t have envisioned a better setting for them. He stated that the team loves being together.

Some of the things that the team worked on during the bubble were experimenting with different lineups, rotations, positions, and skillsets. Due to last season, it’s easy to see why Borrego did this, as he experimented with a few different lineups.

Soon, the Charlotte Hornets will be looking forward to the NBA Draft, as the team is prepared to draft a player with their third overall pick. The team has not held a pick this high since the team drafted Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in 2012.
