After a conversation between J Cole and former rapper and preseason NBA player Master P, Cole is serious about working towards an NBA tryout.

In an interview with TMZ, Master P said that after talking to Cole, he is:

"“convinced the rapper is dead serious.”"

Master P gave Cole some advice as someone who had signed two-contracts in the 1990s with different NBA teams.

Cole has been training and playing pickup games for months now to search for the opportunity to make an NBA team. The Detroit Pistons even offered a tryout to the rapper in a tweet:

Cole is actually a really talented player who played in high school and adding him to the roster would be amazing for the Hornets. A tryout is the most Charlotte can offer to the rapper since he shouldn’t get unfair treatment. Cole could be very talented and if he could earn a spot on the roster, his talents could be useful. Cole definitely has bounce and showed it when he nearly slammed it during All-Star weekend in 2019.

The jersey sales would definitely skyrocket and the Hornets ticket sales would go through the roof. Cole’s addition would create exposure from every entertainment outlet across the whole country which could propel the team’s finances to new heights.
