Myles Turner’s value

Myles Turner is a valuable asset to look at, he is obviously a defensive beast and can make any offense change their gameplan.

Turner does only average about 12 points per game with six boards per contest. So offensively, Turner isn’t amazing but his effects on the other side of the ball, make him a player to target.

I don’t believe Turner is worth shipping out all of the Hornets assets but is worth a good player and a few picks. So here is trade package number one:

Trade Analysis: So this trade proposal sends the young talent Malik Monk to Indiana. He hasn’t been super consistent for the Hornets and even though he is still really young, I’m not sure what his future looks like for the pacers.

Considering the Hornets draft a guard and they have Terry Rozier and Devonte’ Graham, it’ll be tough for Monk to earn a lot of minutes. Monk is an asset and following his career-high season, his value is really high right now. He averaged ten points per game and a pair of assists per game in only 21 minutes per contest.

Caleb Martin definitely played good basketball this last season and showcases his potential. He is in this package just to sweeten the deal with a younger player with unknown potential.

So giving away the 2023 first-round pick sounds like a major loss but with how much other teams want Turner, we have to give up this valuable asset to get Indiana to consider Charlotte’s trade. Considering Charlotte’s history it may be beneficial for Indiana to take their first-round pick. The second-round pick is to give them another young hidden gem since they are likely to be hitting the reset button soon.

So this would benefit both teams but I’m not sure if the deal will be as sweet as other teams offer.
